Indonesia keen on Indian silk

Bangalore: The Indonesian Ambassador to India, Andi M. Ghalib, led a delegation to the Central Silk Board to explore “ways to build a durable partnership with the board for developing sericulture in Indonesia”. Mr. Ghalib said Indonesia, which currently imports 80 per cent of its silk requirements from China, would prefer “to develop other long-term raw material sources for the industry in Indonesia”.
