Celebrating the Power of Women with Sankrit Slokas

BANGALORE, December 5, 2010: Vedanta Bharati, a spiritual organization, has organized a mass chanting of Dashashloki, a composition of three stotras by Adi Shankaracharya, on December 5 at Bangalore Palace Grounds.

The organisation’s convenor Sridhar Bhat Ainakai explained why tens of thousands of women from different sections of society congregated at Tripuravasini wing of the Bangalore Palace Grounds to chant en masse three compositions of Adi Shankaracharya. “It is a vishwarupa darshana (magnum opus) of mathru shakti (the power of motherhood),” Ainakai said.

The objective of the program is to bring about awareness and transformation. “The need of the hour is to make our country spiritually strong, morally sound, ethically robust, and culturally vibrant,” he said.
